Oakley Livestrong Radar Path Sunglasses $190 This special edition Oakley Radar commemorates the Livestrong fight against cancer. If you read "It's Not About The Bike", you might recall that Lance said that only three of his sponsors stood strong alongside him when he was diagnosed with cancer: Nike, Giro, and Oakley. He said he'd have allegiance to them forever. It's a pretty moving bit of loyalty, and it's one we think of every time we see these glasses. We offer the Radar in a variety of styles. While this one has classic styling thanks to its simple black frame with nuanced "Livestrong Yellow" detail, what sets it apart in the Radar family is the fact that Oakley donates $20 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation for every set of Livestrong Radars sold. The Livestrong Radar comes with Black Iridium lenses. Black Iridium is a superb choice for the spring and summertime. It transmits only 10% of the available light to your eyes, also making it ideal for bright, sunny days. The great thing about Oakley Iridium lenses is that the Iridium coating creates a uniform filtering layer that optimizes contrast and reduces glare. It's a central reason why Oakley optics are so special in comparison to any other brand glasses. The lens is large in a modern, high-fashion way without being too big -- a design Oakley calls the "Path" lens. We prefer the Path lens because we believe it is large enough to protect the eyes while being small enough so it doesn't overheat the head and seal the eyes off from the world. One other vital detail is that the lens is hydrophobic with a new oleophobic coating for better vision. Sweat won't streak your lens and muddy up your field of view. Rather these coatings cause moisture to run off the lens with no residue. The frame is made from Oakley O-Matter. There is soft Unobtanium at the temple ends and the nose to better grip the face. Unobtanium is slightly hydrophilic, so it will grip better when wet and sweaty. The lens is made from Plutonite and has Oakley's famed High Definition Optics (HDO). |

Oakley Radar Path Sunglasses - Polarized $260 The Jet Black frame offers full-on fashion versatility -- no matter what you wear, Jet Black is the perfect match. But what sets this model apart from the rest of its Radar brethren is its lens technology. Oakley has long spread the gospel about their Black Iridium lenses: It's a superb choice for the spring and summertime since it transmits only a fraction of the available light to your eyes, making it ideal for bright, sunny days. The Iridium coating creates a uniform filtering layer that optimizes contrast and reduces glare. In addition, these lenses are Polarized, which cuts glare even further in comparison to a standard Iridium lens. No Radar lens transmits less light than the Black Iridium Polarized -- only 9% of the light comes through. On bright days, this is your best bet.The Radar is Oakley's first new cycling-specific design since the M-Frame -- that's a 15-year span between re-designs, testament to just how popular the M-Frame became. Amazingly, though, while the Radar bears similarities to the M-Frame, it's clearly a far improved set of eyewear. Like the M-Frame, it has no lower ledge to the frame, so you get an uninterrupted field of vision. But improved is the updated look that is modern, almost high-fashion. The frame itself was re-designed to fit more types of faces with greater comfort. And then there are the surge ports. These are the holes molded into the arms. The ports direct air inside the arms so heat and sweat don't build up behind the sunglasses and arms. And unlike certain models of the M-Frame, the arms of the Radar fold. The lens is large in a modern, high-fashion way without being too big -- a design Oakley calls the "Path" lens. We prefer the Path lens because we believe it is large enough to protect the eyes while being small enough so it doesn't overheat the head and seal the eyes off from the world. And overly big glasses fog up too easily. |

Oakley Radar Path Replacement Lens $65 One of the many beauties of the Oakley Radar is the ease with which you can swap out its lenses. Oakley makes the perfect lens for any light condition, so by owning a few sets of lenses you'll be ready for any circumstance. Removing an Oakley Radar lens is a piece of cake: With two fingers carefully pinch the nose bridge tabs inward. Then push the nose bridge towards the top of the sunglasses until the lens releases from the top. You can then pull the lens down and out.Installing the lens is even easier: Just insert the tab on the right side so it's fully seated. Arc the lens outward slightly to insert the left lens tab. Then pull the top of the frame over the top of the lens while pushing the lens inward with both thumbs. When the frame is completely over the top of the lens, push the nose bridge forward so it snaps into place. Simple as can be. One additional note: No matter what size Radar lens you current own (Path, Pitch, or Range), you can swap your current lens out for any other size. We only offer the Path size lens because we believe it is large enough to protect the eyes while being small enough so it doesn't overheat the head and seal the eyes off from the world. And overly big glasses fog up too easily. For those who are familiar with M-Frame lenses, this is kind of between the Hybrid and the Sweep. The Clear lens is an ideal choice for night riding, or a race in a downpour, or riding in otherwise dim-and-dismal conditions and you're not so much worried about blocking light as you are protecting your beloved eyeballs. If you've spent only 5 minutes of your life on a group ride, one truth has already been made clear to you: Debris flying around at head level is a fact of life when you ride with others. Neglecting to wear glasses makes about as much sense as leaving your helmet in the car.The Black Iridium lens is a superb choice for the spring and summertime. |

Oakley Radar Path Livestrong Sunglasses $190 Oakley Radar Path Livestrong Sunglasses. The frame comes with the PATH lens shape and features BLACK IRIDIUM lens coating to reduce glare and balance light in bright sun. LIVESTRONG is laser etched near the edge of the interchangeable lens, and the included protective SOFT VAULT case lets you store an extra optional lens. Saluting the Lance Armstrong Foundation with the colors of its logo, the lightweight O MATTER frame is matched with some of the finest optical technologies ever put into sunglasses. POLARIC ELLIPSOID lens geometry is one of the innovations that give this sunglass HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS (HDO), and the technology optimizes clarity at every angle of view to maximize your peripheral vision. The optical clarity is so precise, it meets all ANSI Z87.1 standards. Our permanent HYDROPHOBIC lens coating creates a smudge-resistant barrier that repels water, skin oils and dust. Ultraviolet filtering is 100% for UVA, UVB and UVC, and impact protection meets the unforgiving standards of ANSI Z87.1, both for high mass and high velocity impact. |

Oakley sunglasses question( Radar path)?
I found this pair of Oakley radar path sunglasses on oakley vault website i would LOVE to get.
only one problem. Theyre asian fit.
Im a standard regular american guy with a nose bridge like any other american guy.
Question: would they be uncomfortable on me? the nearest oakley store is 45 miles away from me
and im looking at thease online so i cant try them on.
i want to know from anyone who has expirence the diffrence to give ma an answer or oakley rep.
THHANKS!!!
P.S. here is the site
http://oakleyvault.com/product/radar-path-asian-fit/09-746J
Wow, all these useless answers pointing you to sites for fakes.
Asian won't fit you correctly. They'll sit to high on your nose (since the bridge has extra material) and the frames will be too wide (since they're flatter and have less wrap).
Radars are great (I have a pair in white /+red). I would look at 6pm.com and Backcountry.com to see if they have them on sale. They're two of the very very few retailers licensed to sell Oakley at a discount.
You can also try to snag them on ebay, just be aware that there are lots of fakes out there. Look for someone who has consistent, good feedback like huneymonkey or total_o.
I would also visit your local oakley vault (not vault.com). They often have a "sale" case and a "DE" case where you can find radars for up to 50% off. Understanding the store is 45 minutes away, but most Oakley stores DO NOT carry Asian Fit, unless there is a significant Asian population in the area (like in Asia). I've driven 2 hours to get to an Oakley store so 45 min, for the sake of making sure a pair of glasses fit right, is worth it. Besides, if you've never been to an Oakley store or an Oakley vault, it's a cool experience.
